Dorothy Mae Boutilier (Clarke), Donkin It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Mae Boutilier (Clarke), Donkin, announce her passing on January 9, 2021, at the age of 87. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 26 years, Roderick Boutilier; son Shane (Deirdre) and daughter Lori (Matt); step-children Debra (Douglas), Guy (Gail) , Trina (David); grandchildren Darcy (Meghan), Liam (Jenny), Jordan (Lexi Persaud), Erin, Alaina, Kelsey (Brendan), Elle, Bailey and Marc; great-grand-children Finn, Thomas, Riley and Gwen; brothers Robert (Alice) and Brent (Glynnis) and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents Mae (Budden) and Robert Clarke. Before returning home to Cape Breton, Dorothy worked for many years in Newfoundland and Sydney with the federal government and was an active member of St. Luke’s United Church in Donkin. She also very much enjoyed her Wednesday morning bowling group of girls. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the staff of the Hematology Clinic at the Regional for their care and compassion. In Dorothy’s own words which she said so often - “Thanks a million!”

To the Boutilier and Clarke families:

I was deeply saddened to hear about Dorothy’s passing. She was a very fine person and will be missed by all who knew her.
You are in my thoughts at this very difficult time. Sometimes life throws us curve balls, and they are hard to handle.

So sorry to read about Dorothy's Passing. I went to School with her many years ago, she was a Friend. Roddie, just know you are in my Thoughts and Prayers at this difficult time. Take care.
