Isabel Gertrude Strong

We the relatives, with great sorrow, announce the passing of Isabel Strong on October 23, 2025. Born on July 29, 1928 to Lesley Strong and Annie MacKeigan, Isabel was raised by her grandparents James and Annie MacKeigan along with their seven children.

While Isabel worked at the British Canadian Co-op Society Ltd from 1944 until its closing in the mid 80's her true devotion was to family and church.

She was predeceased by her father Lesley Strong (at 28 days old), her grandfather Jimmie Angus and grandmother Annie Laurie, siblings (by choice) Danny, Mamie, Effie, Neil, Walter, Doug, Forrester, niece and namesake Isabel (Murray) King as well as her mother Annie MacKeigan. Isabel is survived by many cousins with special mention to Lori (Darren) MacNeil, Cody and Alyssa MacNeil and Natalie (Ricky) MacDonald.

A time of gathering will take place from 1pm until the commencement of the Funeral Service at 2pm all at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Glace Bay on Monday, November 3rd.
