James Fraser O’Neill, Jr. passed peacefully at home in London, Ontario on December 14, 2024.
Jim’s leaves behind his greatest loves - his wife of 42 years, Harla McKillop; daughters, who knew they were loved unconditionally every day - Sara (Tim) Shanks & Allison (Mitchell Martin); granddaughters - Evelyn & Natalie & grandson Benjamin - his only BOY, his little buddy & in Ben’s words “my best friend!”
Also loved & missed by his mom, Mary (Snookie) (Moules); sisters, Mona (Francis) MacDonald, Kelly (Paul) Tobin, Barbie (Gerry Bennett) and brothers, Clary (Darlene), Shaun Pat (Diana) and his chosen brother, his Uncle Eddy Moules. And Harla’s siblings - Jamey Gagne, Kathy MacLeod & Gordon (Relic) McKillop; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends!
Jim was predeceased by his dad, James Fraser O’Neill, Sr. in 2020; grandparents Clarence, who he lovingly called DAD & Adele Moules; Thomas & Ethel O’Neill; in-laws, Jeanne and Kenny McKillop, Jimmy McKillop, Peggy and Richard Goulden.
A career as a sales representative with London Life (now Canada Life) in Sydney, led to management & finally a move to London - a decision he never regretted! Making a difference in the lives of his clients was one of Jim’s greatest privileges!! He was truthful, considerate & acted with integrity. Always motivating and inspiring, his countless presentations and workshops have affected countless leaders to plan and act from the heart!
Jim’s love of life, family, work, friends & sports served him well. He loved, worked hard, had fun & he enjoyed it ALL!
His quick wit, charm, consideration, integrity, enthusiasm, sensitivity - love of everything worthy will be forever appreciated & missed!
A celebration of life will take place at Patten’s Funeral Home, 71 Union Street, Glace Bay on Saturday, July 19 from 1-4, with words of celebration at 3:00. Family flowers only please.
