It is with sadness of heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend John Kelloway, who passed away on July 31, 2025 in Halifax. Born on April 9, 1956 to the late Tom and Sarah (Payne) Kelloway of Glace Bay. John was a kind soul, who loved to hang out at home with a beer and watch his favorite sports teams, either the Maple Leafs or the Blue Jays play. He will also be remembered for his sense of humour.
He is survived and will be missed by his siblings, Tom (Marjorie), Barry (Edith), Kathleen Kelloway and Phyllis (Curtis) Boutilier, his son Jason, step daughter April, his 4 grandchildren as well as his numerous nieces and nephews, including nephew and best friend Tommy.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his sisters Wanda, Judy, Jacqueline and Ellen and brother Bill.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, August 7 from 2 until 4pm with a funeral service at 4pm all at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery. Memories and condolences can be forwarded to the family by visiting pattenfuneral.com.
