June Martha Warner

February 25,1934-June 21,2012

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Nana, June Warner at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Thursday, June 21,2012.

Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Louise (Weatherby) Warner. At one time, June was employed with T.Eaton and Company in Glace Bay and also with the town of Glace Bay at the social services department. She was a member of Epworth United Church. June’s greatest joy was spending vacation time at Whale Cove and Cheticamp with her family.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, Brad (Diane),Sydney, granddaughters; Barbara Jean (Andrew), Glace Bay and Janet (Ian), Calgary. She is also survived by her sister in law Enid Warner , cousin, Mary Lou Chiasson,and nieces; Brenda (Leon), Norma (John) and Margie (Ernie). June also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Mae Barrett and Mary Skinner.

She was predeceased by her brother, Berry and a sister, Carolyn in infancy.

Visitation for June will be held at Patten Funeral Home,71 Union Street, Glace Bay from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday, June 25,2012. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Patten Chapel with Rev. John Finlayson officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Society or the CBU Scholarship fund.
