

Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Olga Swartzack.
She worked her younger years in the People’s store in Glace Bay until she found the love of working with New Waterford Home Makers, where she worked until she retired.
Mom had a love for life she enjoyed traveling with Carvle, going out to supper with her very good friend Judy, but her biggest joy in life was her family, she enjoyed spending time and watching her family grow. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, she loved to have her family over Christmas Eve for her BIG gathering that were unforgettable.
She is survived by special companion of 36 years Carvle Durant, daughters Cindy (Ray) and Stephanie; sons Cecil (Evelyn), Tony and Darren (Wenda); daughter in law Angela; 24 Grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Beside her parents she is predeceased by sons Johnny, Levi and Ronnie; twin grandchildren in infancy Cecil and Katherine; sisters Loretta, Annie, Margie and Jeanette.
Visitation will be held on Monday April 7, 2025 in Patten Funeral Home Glace Bay from 12-2pm with service starting at 2pm in Patten Chapel with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating.
