Born in Glace Bay, Madeline was the eldest daughter of the late Cornelius and Agnes (Roach) McIsaac.
Madeline was a hairdresser with a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. She often laughed so hard telling her own joke your face was sore laughing at her laughing. The laughs rarely came because of the punchline. She enjoyed family time and sharing moments with her close friends.
She is survived by sons, Gordie Dillon, Jamie (Fonda Bettens) Dillon, grandchildren Mallorie Mailin, Jesse Bettens, brother, Dan Joe McIsaac, sisters, Josephine (Wayne) Nearing and Jeanette (Adrian Howie) McNeil.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband Gordon Dillon, brothers Cornelius, Joey, Francis and sister, Louise McCormick.
At Madeline’s request, a promise both sons will honour, there will be no visitation. Please remember and reflect on her for who she was in your heart and know she is now at peace.
She has also requested to be cremated and interred with the love of her life, the late Gordon Dillon Sr. There will be no funeral service.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to all of Madeline’s friends for all the their support over the last year, especially, Dianne and Wayne Dillon, Jackie Mackenzie, Eleanor Gallant and Mary Struthers.
The family requests no flowers please. If you feel you would like to reach out to her sons they would welcome your condolences or your fond memories.
She will be missed by all and we will never forget her.
“She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings”. Ariana Dancu
