Marjorie Evangeline Hoyte

Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Henrietta (Sparks) Desmond of Sydney and the late William Desmond of Glace Bay.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her son James Desmond, two granddaughters, Whitney and Jasmine and one great granddaughter Bryerley Lynn, all of Glace Bay, one sister, Georgina (Babes) Farmer of Sydney and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late husband Dawson Hoyte, by sisters Hazel and Dora, by brothers Charles, Herbert and George in infancy.

The family would like to thank the staff at Seaview Manor for their devoted and compassionate care during Sister’s stay.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Patten Funeral Home in Glace Bay. Viewing will take place Friday July 18th from 6 to 9:00 PM.

The funeral will be Saturday July 19th at 12 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 230 Evergreen Drive, Sydney NS, B1M 1A6. Internment at Forest Haven Cemetery following the service.
