Patrick worked underground for many years as a miner for Devco. He enjoyed working around the house and would put his hand to fixing just about anything. He also enjoyed playing online chess and was a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Besides his parents, Patrick was predeceased by his wife Tamar, siblings Robert, Arthur, Theresa, Marty and Tommy. Patrick is survived by his children Brian Daye and Leslie Burke (Paul), grandchildren Abigail, Candace (Matthew) Hebert and Jared Burke and great granddaughter Madeline.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 3rd at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Glace Bay with a reception to follow. Inurnment will take place in Forest Haven Cemetery. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting pattenfuneral.com.
