William Walton

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, dad and papa William Walton on August 29, 2022 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his family by his side. He was 82 years old. Born in Donkin N.S. He was the son of the late Richard and Mildred Walton.

Before his retirement, dad worked at No. 26 and Lingan Collieries.

Dad is survived by his wife Doreen, his daughters Charlene (Angus) and Danielle (Byron). Dad is also survived by grandchildren Chelsea (Travis), Mitchell (Allison), Madison (Kyle), Parker (Leah) and Riviera, step grandchildren Angus, Natasha and Ryan.

Dad is survived by great grandchildren Emersyn Rose, Rylee Ann, Bexley and Weston, step great grandchildren Bria, Aiden and Jenaya.

Also surviving are sisters Edith, Harriet, Frema, sister-in-law Carol and brother-in-law Wilson (Martha).

Dad was predeceased by son William Darin in infancy, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and a son-in-law.

There will be no visitation as per dad’s request. Cremation has taken place under the care of Patten Funeral Home, Glace Bay N.S. A funeral service will be held at St.Luke’s Anglican Church in Port Caledonia on September 10, 2022 at 11am with Rev. Dorothy Miller officiating. Inurnment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
