Alice was born to Herschell H. “Jack” and Carrie Alice (Winning) Adkins on April 2nd, 1946, in Kenova, West “By God!” Virginia.
She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1964, and then on August 14th, 1966, she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Estes. Alice worked at Wyeth Labs for 28 years before working as a Table Games Dealer at Sam’s Town and Harrah’s Casinos for over 20 years. Alice enjoyed lounging around her pool, going to the casino, and watching her KC Chiefs. She loved cooking delicious dinners for her family. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her two great granddaughters, Emma and Tegan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Donna Jack and Frank Hixson.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Alyson (Dan) King; her grandson, Dylan (Bailey) Smith; step-grandchildren, Tyler King and Ashlyn King; great-granddaughters, Emma and Tegan Smith; brother in-law, Robin Estes; nieces, Carrie Lynn (Russ) Perdue, Stacey Hixson, Shannon Hixson, nephews, Kevin Hixson, Kurt Hixson, and Jason Estes; several great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-niece.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 3:00 p.m., White Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO. 64119. Casual dress attire at Alice’s request.
