Beatrice H. McDaniel, 93, of KC, MO passed away on Sunday May 17, 2015 surrounded by her family. Born December 8, 1921 to George and Dollie Hannah in Bolckow, MO. Beatrice graduated as Valedictorian of her high school class in Guilford, MO and nursing school at General Hospital in Kansas City. She married Gerald McDaniel in 1943 in Oceanside, CA. She was a member of Roanridge Church of Christ, past President of ABWA and was a lifelong fan of KU Basketball. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gerald; her parents; her grandson, Chris Byrd; and her sister, Georgia Oliver. Survivors include her daughter, Patti (Curtis) Byrd; her son, Michael McDaniel; her brother, Fred (Ann) Hannah; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 AM, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at White Chapel with burial to follow in White Chapel Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
