Brian Dean Slocum, a 51-year-old Gladstone, MO resident passed away on March 5, 2020. He was born at Offutt Air Force Base, NE on November 10, 1968 the son of Terry Lee Slocum and JoAnn Mary Kleffner.
Brian graduated from Kansas City Oak Park Highschool in 1987; Crowder College in Neosho, MO in 1994, then graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health in 1996. He received a Masters degree in Industrial Safety Management at the University of Central Missouri State, Warrensburg, MO in 1998. Brian worked in the Environmental Health and Safety industry before his health declined a few years ago. He was currently working part time at Ace Hardware in Gladstone. He loved helping customers and always looked forward to going to work. His passions included Sports, Fishing, and Handyman activities. He loved tools and was always prepared and ready to help anyone who needed assistance. The Royals winning the world Series in 2015 and the Chiefs winning the Superbowl this year were important highlights in Brian’s life. Brian had a big heart and loved his family and grand dog, Charlie.
Survivors include mother, JoAnn Fisher and her husband, Torance Fisher; father, Terry Slocum and his wife, Ginger; daughter, Samantha Santoyo and her husband, Joseph; sister, Denise Slocum; and a granddaughter, Avery Santoyo.

Visitation is at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119 on Wednesday, March 11th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass is at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. Rosary at 10:15 a.m. Funeral at 10:30 am. Lunch at St. Andrews following Funeral.
