He was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Daniel S. and Patricia J. Davis. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. Chuck worked in North Kansas City in the printing and graphics industry and ran his own commercial painting contracting business. He worked for an antique furniture repair business in Liberty before dedicating himself full-time to his passion – fine art oil painting. Chuck’s impressionist-styled, landscape paintings sold in Kansas City galleries and around the country. He viewed light like a skilled photographer and captured its beauty on canvas. Chuck was an accomplished musician. For many years, he sang, played guitar, mandolin and harmonica along with his friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia J. Davis of Gladstone and his grandparents, Charles and Lucille Barnett of Kansas City.
Chuck is survived by his father, Daniel S. Davis of Corpus Christi, TX, Sisters, Marilyn Butler and Nevaline Giordano both of Kansas City, his brother, Mike Davis of Kansas City and dozens of loving nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Funeral is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Hillside Christian Church 900 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64118. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chuck’s life.
