Charles Vernon Myers, 89, of North Kansas City, MO passed away October 28, 2016. Vernon was born and grew up in Triplett, MO. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Kansas City, Masonic Lodge 659, and the VFW 10906 Gladstone. He retired after 40 years from the Santa Fe Railroad. Vernon’s interests included camping, friends, church and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon (Myers) Dykes. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Helen; son, Dale (Nancy) Myers; son-in-law, George Dykes; 5 grandchildren, Charlotte Padgett, Chuck Dykes, Matt Myers, Scott Myers and Kyle Myers; and 5 great grandchildren, Kirsten Padgett, Corrine Myers, Audra Myers, Saleh Myers and Alexa Myers. Service 1:00pm Monday First Baptist Church of North Kansas City. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment Terrace Park Cemetery Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers donations to the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City.
