She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to her parents Alexander and Pauline Pizzichino. She attended Loretta High school. She worked at Piedmont and Piedmont and at Macy’s. Candy was Macy’s top salesperson for the Midwest Region three consecutive years, but her favorite job was taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Candy married Norman Rhodes in 1980 and they moved to Independence, Missouri. They were married for 40 years when she passed away. She and Norman enjoyed traveling, going out to eat and hanging out with friends and family. She loved her Italian roots and cooking. Candy was a fierce competitor that loved to play all types of games.
Candy was preceded in death by her father Alexander Pizzichino, mother Pauline Mussato, and step father Alfonso Mussato.
She is survived by her beloved husband Norman Rhodes; children Paula (Stuart) Sullinger, Cynthia (Dwayne) Escagne, Randy Rhodes (Jerry Morris), and Tommy Smith; grandchildren, Jacob (Nichole) Sullinger, Christina Hylton, Amanda Hylton, Bethany (Jared) Quigley, and Tristan Long; seven great grandchildren and one on the way.
