Connie Lynn (Tunell) Payne, 70, of Kansas City, MO passed away December 4, 2016 surrounded by her family. Connie was born in Maryville, MO to Colon and Aleta (Johnston) Tunell on December 2, 1946. She graduated from Graham High School in 1964. She later attended Kansas City, Kansas Community College, where she got a degree in nursing. Connie loved horse-back riding, being a grandma, sitting on her porch, bird watching, gardening and spending time with her stepmother, Peggy Tunell. Connie is survived by her daughters, Dawn Payne, Dana Payne, Jessica (Darrell) Adams and Amy (Chris) Gulley; sisters, Elizabeth (Jeff) Davison and Rebecca (Rodney) Wandfluh; grandchildren, Erin Payne, Zayne McCracken and Maddi Adams; great-grandchildren, Gisele Smith, Stanley Smith, Jr. and Raynell Smith; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Toni Payne. A funeral service will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home on December 7, 2016 at 10:00 am, with family receiving guests one hour prior. Burial will follow services in the Maitland Missouri Cemetery.
