I miss your great big hugs and your smile you had the best smile and you are always positive about anything and everything miss you telling me that everything's okay

I knew Daniel many years and he added such joy and fun to my life. After he left the hospital, we'd reach out to one another here and there. I really, really miss him.

I first met Daniel at Living Word Community Church. He was such a nice guy. Quiet and humble. He always had a kind word and his faith in God encouraged me. It is still a shock that he is gone from this earth. But I am happy God has him now. I will miss him a lot.

Rest well Daniel.

This is such sad news. Daniel was one of the sweetest, most loving persons I ever met. His sunshine and smile are a big loss to his family and the community. 

Colby family although I did not know Daniel very well his first impression was a good one. His smile was contagious to all that was in the room. My heart aches for his family that loved him so dearly. He will be greatly missed buy them and those who knew him. Rest in peace Sweet Soul❤

Danny was such a sweet and kind young man. He always brought smiles wherever he went. Every once in a while, out of the blue he'd call me and we'd chat and catch up. Daanny, you will be missed!! Blessings and prayers to his family!

I am sorry that I didn’t have a close relationship with your church family. I have always tried to lead with love as did you. I hope I can be like you someday Danny Bear! I am lost without you. You always knew how to make me smile. I am going to miss our movie nights and our weekends together. Can you still come to watch ALF with me? I will chase after God and build a relationship with Jesus so I may see you again. Love you bunches! Daniel was special because he was not of this world, and he loved us all with unconditional love.

I met Danny when he was a young teen, I believe. He and his family lived next door to one of my best friend's. It was always a pleasure to visit with Danny and Brittany when I was over to visit, my friend. It became few and far between as they grew older, becoming amazing adults, but I would still run into him every once and awhile at Walmart. He was the best greeter ever. It amazed me that we could go years without seeing each other, but he always remembered  me. He had a contagious smile and the heart of angel. R.I.P, Daniel. Please give our friend, Richie, a big hug for me. Until we meet again......

I first met  Danny at the clay/Platte YMCA.  He was so much a part of our family there.  I lost contact for awhile and ran into him at MCI , where he was working for the TSA.  I hope he didn’t get into trouble the day I say him and gave him a big ol hug!!! Not sure if it is allowed for a passenger to hug the TSA !!!! Danny was so lovable, I forgot he was working when I ran into him at the airport....   I can’t imagine not running into him across KC any longer .   Danny will be sorely missed by so many.  He always had that beautiful smile and the most friendly hello.  I cherish the wonderful memories I have of this most wonderful young man!  Love you Danny, you are missed!!!❤️🙏

I have never met a sweeter, kinder person who always had a smile on his face no matter what.  I first met Daniel Colby at Winnetonka High School, he was in my brothers graduating class. He was such a sweet and kind kid,   That grew into a sweet and kind man . The next time I met Daniel, he was living next-door to my daughter‘s best friend. The families became very close,  and Daniel and his sister Britney were part of that family.  I love Daniel and his sister and the laughter and joy we shared with them.   He and Britney would always ask me to sing every time we were over. He always wanted me to sing Amazing Grace. He was always so kind to my children and my family and I will always remember that about him.  I will miss him.

I knew Daniel from the Y on Vivion Rd. I worked at the front desk and saw him frequently- always with a smile on his face. Recently I would see him at Gladstone CC on Sunday mornings where he served as a greeter. I would be leaving the gym and we would always exchange a smile and he would say “hi Valerie”! Praying for your family!

Daniel will be beyond missed for an eternity to come.. I personally loved all of my fond high school memories including Daniel at nearly every turn. I am so so sorry for your loss Colby family. Daniel is apart of MANY of my most fond memories. His positive attitude and constant smile will be etched in my memories for years to come.. I’m very proud to know him and call him a friend! I bowled with Daniel for a couple years on a North Kansas City bowling league.  Daniel was such a kind and loving person.  He never knew a stranger and made friends with each and every bowler.  He was truly one of a kind.  My deepest sympathy goes out to his entire family.  I know he will be missed!

I was in HI-STEP with Danny in High School and remember seeing him post-high school when he came to support our recreational softball team's games. Whenever I saw Danny, he was cheerful and easily outgoing, it was easy to talk with him. So sorry for the Colby family's loss, thinking of you all during this time. 

I have fond memories of Daniel at the girls soccer games.  You will be missed.  Thinking of your family.  

I knew Daniel from the airport. He always made a point of saying “Hi” to me. We had just talked a few days before he passed about all the food posts that he made on Facebook. I will remember him for his unique voice that will never be duplicated and all those delicious recipes. I miss seeing your smile that would make my bad day better.   R.I.P. my airport friend, you will truly be missed!  😢✈️

Daniel was in my graduating class. I don’t remember much from high school but I sure remember Daniel! He was always so sweet, so kind, and always smiling. I can’t think of anyone who didn’t enjoy being around him. This makes my heart hurt that he is no longer here to spread his joy but I’m SO thankful to hear about his love for our savior Jesus. My prayers and condolences for your loss ❤️

You were always so kind. I almost didn’t understand how someone could have such pure sweetness in them like you. You were the example of a good heart. Thank you for being so kind to share it with all of us. We are the lucky ones to have known you.

I'll always remember Daniel for his, warm smile and caring heart! We went to the same schools, and church as teens. Everytime I ran into him I was always greeted with a smile and a hug! He will be dearly missed!!!

I'll always remember Daniel for the beautiful smile that he always seemed to have for everyone...I'm sure he has to be smiling for the Lord now....
      

Daniel was my brother and best friend.he was loving . And he never judged anyone.i loved hanging out with him.we we're very close.we did alot together.he loved his church.he will never be forgotten.

My favorite memory of Daniel is whenever I would be talking to him and he would say " I see" he always expected me to say " said the blind man as he opend his eyes" Then him and I would always start laughing together!

I was Danny's teacher at Winnetonka. He was a valued leadership class student and was in my Speech class when we learned about the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. I remember how he cried and cried, grasping the enormity of the situation before I did. His relationship with "Britter Critter" was just about the cutest thing. Mrs. Coquyt will never forget Danny Colby!

Daniel ALWAYS had a smile on his face. It was so contagious! He cared about everyone! Knowing the world has lost such a sweet soul is heartbreaking, but I know with his strong faith he was warmly welcomed into heaven. He is missed by many, but we know he is at peace with Jesus.

I’m so sorry to hear that Daniel has passed away.  Daniel had such a warm heart and was a very nice guy and would do anything for his family and friends.

Danny will always be in our hearts.  Danny  always had a happy smile and a heart so full of kindness.   Andrew has always considered Danny a brother, best friend and confidante.     He was devoted to God and his Church and lived a life of a true Christian.  He always  found the good in people, over looked anyone’s differences and Loved them, no matter what.    The sweetest voice I know!    We will miss him dearly and feel blessed to know he is happy where he is.          

I meet Daniel 4 years ago i was pregnant and my son was born on his birthday. He was a wonderful person.. He always had a smile on his face every sunday and we always laugh and make jokes when we see each other.. He was a brother to me when i need someone to talk to he was there to listen... Im going to miss him so much..
Last summer we went to world of fun and u know what he said to me and my mother he say he  had the best time of his life with us... This picture was taking at a concert toby and we meet up to take a picture with him.. 

I was one of his bestfriend and high school friends. He was a great guy heart of gold 

There is not a nicer, warmer, happier, more compassionate soul in Heaven!  Danny would light up any room he entered. I will always have fond memories of bowling on weekends with Danny, Brittney, and Shawn, and hanging out at the Colby House!

What an incredible loss, but what an amazing, God-filled, life he lived.  May you Rest In Peace, Danny!
