Funeral will be at 2 PM Wednesday January 6, 2021 at North Cross United Methodist Church (1321 NE Vivion Rd, KC, MO 64118), burial will be 11:30 AM Thursday Lebanon City Cemetery, Lebanon, MO.
Don received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Drury University in 1960 and a Master’s in Education Degree in 1964. He earned additional graduate credits throughout his career. Don was a member of many social and professional organizations including membership in Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
He taught at Eldridge and Marshfield, MO and Leavenworth, KS; before joining the North Kansas City School District in 1966. In 1967 he opened the new Topping Elementary School as Principal and remained there until he retired in 1989 after 33 years in education. He thoroughly enjoyed every year of his career working with students, staff, and parents. In 1973 Don married, Pamela Glass who was a faithful loving wife and they enjoyed 47 years together.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Homer R. and Iva (Conn) Davison; sisters, Dottie Jean (Leland) Cansler and Betty Lou (George) Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela; nephew, Wendell (Michele) Cansler; niece, Sonja Cansler; great nephew, Ryan (Cherryh) Cansler, children, Julian and Lincoln; and great niece, Lacy (Matt) Lugo, children, Cass and Athena.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Don and Pamela Davison Scholarship Fund at the North Kansas City School District (2000 NE 46th St KC, MO 64116) or North Cross United Methodist Church (1321 NE Vivion Rd KC, MO 64118).
