Dorothy Ann George

Dorothy Ann (Carr) George, previously of Gladstone, MO, passed away on November 30, 2020, after a short battle with lung cancer. She recently celebrated her 87th birthday on November 13th at Spring Ridge Assisted Living Facility in Springfield, MO.

She is preceded in death by her parents Vincil and Cora Carr, her husband Donald D. George, and two grandchildren, Christopher B. George and Mary E. George.

She will be missed and remembered by her two sons and their families; Rick and Mary George of Kansas City, MO, Michael and Brenda George of Springfield, MO, her surviving grandchildren; Jessica Burks, Kristina George, Jonathan Johannes, Quinton George, Ryan George and Sara George, her 9 great grandchildren, and her 3 great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind 3 siblings; C. Katherine Masteller-Jones of Kansas City, MO, Danny Carr of Gladstone, MO, and Cindy (Lucinda) Silkwood of St. Joseph, MO.

Dorothy often remarked fondly of her time working at TWA for 20 years, from which she retired in 2000. She also warmly remembered her time with friends and her exercise group at North Kansas City Hospital and her longtime friends from the Benton High School Class of 1952. She often met many friends and family for lunch at her favorite place, Corner Café in Riverside.

Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Spring Ridge Assisted Living Facility, 2828 Meadowbrook, Springfield, MO 65807 "in memorium Dorothy A. George".
