She graduated from Carrollton High School and attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO where she met her husband, Bob Parker. Dorothy worked for Hallmark Cards for 27 years before retiring in 1996. She loved to travel, making several trips to the Royal’s spring training site in Arizona, going to lunch with friends and had enjoyed anything Mickey Mouse related. Dorothy was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Overland Park, Kansas. Her husband of 60 years, Bob Parker and daughter Terri Eager preceded Dorothy in death.
Survivors include sons, Rick (Cheryl) Parker and Doug (Mary) Parker; son-in-law, Terry Eager, 7 grandchildren, Ali (Alex), A.J. (Sara), Bret, Drew, Ryan, Sara (Roy) and Matthew and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation at 10:00am and service at 11:00am Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Antioch Bible Baptist Church at 800 NE 72nd Street, Gladstone, MO 64118. Interment following at White Chapel Memorial Gardens at 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119.
