Gary was born August 31, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Benjamin and Irma (Matthys) Reinwald. He was a graduate from North Kansas City High School, Class of 1964. In 1966, Gary married Barbara Hunt and they enjoyed 48 years together.
Gary proudly served in the US Air Force as a aircraft mechanic. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1994. Gary owned Twin Bridges Boat & RV Storage at Stockton Lake. He enjoyed time in the outdoors camping, boating, fishing/hunting, and mowing! Gary was a long standing, proud member of the Chiefs Kingdom.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; son, Brent; and parents, Ben and Irma.
Survivors include his daughter, Carie (Dan) Doerr; sister, Carolyn (Jim) O'Laughlin; loving companion, Sandie Farrimond; daughter-in-law, Wendi (Nick Sweeney) Reinwald; four amazing grandchildren, Melyssa (Aaron) Bierman, Daniel Doerr, Rachel Doerr, Parker Reinwald; and one rambunctious great grandson, Brady Bierman.
