Dearest Harold....I was trying to get a hold of you today and when none of your phone #'s worked, I typed your name in to discover this news!  OMG....I'm devastated!  You, Jimmy, Gary and I go way back.  You married Me and Gary ages ago!  Harold, this is the saddest day and I just want you to know that you are really going to be missed! His love for people was felt across the country, But he left his mark in kansas city, He was one of the Architects on the remodel of Argosy Casino Hotel and Spa. Whom ever had the privilege of meeting him experienced a friendship like no other. I know I was blessed to have this phenomenal man  as my father. I love you dad,  forever brighteyes, your daughter  Kim Elaine Conrad Bates.

Your were right Harold, you are gone now and it isn't fair. Your kind-hearted, always giving, natural disposition will undoubtably be missed by so many. One of many most notably, your incredible ability to always identify the best way to contribute to or solve any problem that walked into the room.  You may be missing from the hearts of so many forever but you will never forgotten.  RIP

Your kindness touched so many lives. You didn't know a stranger and your stories entertained many. My life is better having known you. Thoughts of our adventures will always make me smile. I love you and miss you.

Harold Bates was one of the most loving caring people I've ever met in my life his door was always open for anybody and everybody that needed him and I consider myself very lucky to have had him for a friend rest in peace and I love you man
