

Helen was born in Independence, Missouri and lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She graduated from William Chrisman High School and attended the University of Central Missouri for two years where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority.
Helen married Eddie M. Davis in 1954. He preceded her in death in 2023, after celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary.
Growing up during the Depression, Helen learned to sew in the fourth grade through the 4-H Club, a skill she carried with her throughout her life. She lovingly made clothing for family members and for various charities. Helen was deeply involved with her church, First Christian Church of North Kansas City, for many years and generously volunteered with organizations such as the Clay County Clothes Closet. She also devoted her time to others as a Girl Scout leader.
Helen found great joy working in her garden and tending to her cherished flowers. She was a favorite Room Mother at Davidson Elementary School for all three of her children and later shared her love of learning as a substitute teacher in the North Kansas City School District. She later worked as an Administrative Assistant at George Butler & Associates engineering firm where she then retired.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Sublette and Louise Fitch; her husband, Eddie; her sisters, Dorothy Rarick and Shirley Nelson. She is survived by her children, Stuart (Daisy) Davis, Sherry Davis, and Randy (Karin) Davis and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 24th followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church of North Kansas City, 2018 Gentry St., N. Kansas City, MO 64116. Lunch will be provided at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church of North Kansas City.
