Herbert “Jack” Harvey, Sr., 87, of Independence, Missouri, passed away August 27, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Susquehanna Assembly of God, 612 N. Jennings Rd., Independence, MO 64056. Visitation will be from 7:00-9;00pm, Monday, September 1, 2014 at the church. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, MaryAnn Harvey of the home, 6 children, 3 siblings, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and his dog ”Sugar”. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a man who loved his family. Jack was in the US Navy for ten years and served during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was involved in gospel music for many years in the Kansas City area and played with many groups throughout his years. Jack was passionate about the gospel of Christ and sharing God’s love with anyone. Jack will always be remembered as a friend to all; he’s singing with the angels now.
