Irene Maude Carrill

Irene was born on August 6, 1935, in Hull, Yorkshire, England to John and Ivy Brigham.

Irene married George Carrill on March 16, 1957, and they relocated to the United States in 1967 with their four children, June Carrill-Buszta, Paul Carrill, Glenn Carrill, and Gail Hutchison. Her family recalls her as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Irene’s proudest job was caring for the home practicing her skills of sewing, knitting, and baking as well as raising the family. She was a very proud English woman taking great interest in the Royal Family. She truly enjoyed a little English tradition of a hot cup of tea.

Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, George and her brother, Peter Brigham.

Irene is survived by her children, June (Jim) Buszta, Paul (Amy) Carrill, Glenn Carrill, and Gail (Mark) Hutchison; four brothers and sisters, Raymond Brigham, Barbara Thompkins, Ann Gorbutt, Margaret Shears; grandchildren, Aaron (Sydney) Buszta, Austin (Kyndall) Carrill, Melissa Carrill, Samantha Hutchison, Rachel (Nicholas) Oleson; great grandchildren, Nora June Oleson and Margot Janette Carrill.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Green Country Care Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma for their dedication to Irene’s care.
