

James "Jim" E. Anderson, 98, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on October 5, 1924 to Oliver and Verna Anderson. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Jim joined the US Army in June 1943 and served through April 1946. He was with the 104th General Hospital as a Surgical Tech. stationed in England. He was very proud of his time in the service. Then he worked with AT&T until his retirement.
He married his first wife, Betty, just before going into the service. They had two children: Janice and Jimmy. In 1974 Betty passed away.
Later he married Bonnie Lovseth. They enjoyed her three children: Della, John and Roxann. Bonnie passed away in 2005.
Jim loved to work on cars, do woodworking, carvings, and enjoying his grandkids. Jim was also, for a time, a Shriner and was in the Clown unit. He loved making kids laugh. He was a devout Christian and loved to read the Bible. Jim would share God's message whenever he could.
He will be missed by so many that loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, both of his wives, his siblings: Oliver, Helen, Ruth and JD. Also his daughter Janice and his stepson John.
He loved his grandchildren: Richard, Christopher, Jamie, Ryan, Lucy, Jennifer, Derrick and Nicole as well as his Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. He also loved his many Nieces and Nephews.

A visitation for Jim will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 2 to 3:40 pm followed by a simple prayer and military honors from 3:40 PM to 4 pm at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
