James L. Webb, 93, died on August 14, 2018. He was born October 1, 1924 in Johnson County, Kansas. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in December 1941 and married the love of his life, Lucy Wales, in 1944. He was married to his wife for almost 69 years, and they had two daughters, one who died in infancy. After returning from military service he began building houses with his mother-in-law and continued in that business until he retired. Jim was also a nursing home administrator for years and owned several health care facilities over his lifetime.
Jim was a man of God, active in church, Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship, and went on many missionary trips in his lifetime. He sang in many church services. Jim supported many people in ministry and on mission trips. He was a father figure to many young men in his lifetime and provided a Godly model for them to follow. His life has impacted many lives and he continued to influence and impact people until his death.
Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy, and both parents.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Rowe, son-in-law, Bruce Rowe, grandchildren Timothy Bruce Rowe, Scott Rowe (Janette), Daniel Rowe (Kim), Jennie Edwards (Joshua), Kathryn Rowe; seven great grandchildren, and lifetime family friends Jeannie Daley and Jay Plourde.
Family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 16 from 10 to 11 am with a funeral service starting at 11 am followed by burial. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jim's life.
