She married Frank Kubicki in May 1957 and lived most of their married lives in Wyandotte County KCK. Their children attended St. Peter's grade school and Holy Family grade school and attended high school at Bishop Ward.
After their children were adults, they retired to a home in Gladstone, MO where they lived for the next 35 years. They enjoyed traveling to varied destinations throughout the United States.
Mom was the emotional foundation of the family and was there for every bump, scrape, fall and recovery for each of her six children throughout their lives. We wouldn't be the people we are or have the families we are blessed with if not for her. We are forever grateful for her love and influence and guidance that she dedicated her life to. Family meant everything to her and her only wish was that her children were healthy and happy. She accomplished that wish.
Joann leaves behind her loving husband of 68 years, Frank Kubicki, her children: Susan Ambrose (Doug), Allen Kubicki (Tracy), Brian Kubicki (Brenda), Steve Kubicki (Kim), Nancy Kubicki, and Michael Kubicki (Joanna), 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on January 23, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church located at 6415 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
Following the visitation, a rosary will take place from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the same location.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with burial services at Resurrection Cemetery located at 5001 NE Cookingham Drive, KCMO 64156.
