JoAnn (Jo) Henecke Neu, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Friday, May 9, 2025. JoAnn was born on September 14, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to John and Dorothy Henecke. She graduated from Palo High School in 1955. JoAnn married Roger Neu in 1963 and moved to Kansas City along with their two sons, Randall, and Robert. JoAnn was an avid holiday ornament collector, enjoyed needlework, and camping. She was known for her love of western films and coffee.
JoAnn is proceeded in death by her brother, Jerry; son, Randall; and grandson, William. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Roger Neu; her son, Robert Neu and wife Christina; granddaughter Rachelle Neu and husband Nick; daughter-in-law Deb Rogers, sister-in-law Patricia Rasmussen and husband Stan, as well as nieces and nephews.
A small graveside service for family and friends will be determined at a later date.
