

Jonathan was the beloved son of James “Jim” Weister and Margaret Ann Sconce Weister. He was the brother of James Weister (Audrey) and Tena Redenbaugh (Matt). He was the grandson of Roy and Leda Belle Weister and Raymond and Milda Sconce. He was the uncle of Avery and Andy Hensley, Emalee Weister, and Stephanie and Elizabeth Redenbaugh. Jonathan will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jonathan was a committed follower of Jesus Christ, and spent his life serving Him. He had a passion for ministering to people of other cultures and went on many mission trips to different countries. For the last eight years of his life, he served through Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in Denver, CO for six years and in Atlanta, GA for a little over two years. In that capacity, he helped train new personnel to serve in other countries, and he continued to participate in mission trips to other countries. He was known as a gentle, kind man who loved to laugh, play table games, and follow his favorite sports teams. He loved his family and enjoyed spending holidays with them. Above all, his passion was for others to know Jesus Christ.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO, 64119 on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
