Kenneth Eugene Oberst

Kenneth Oberst, 93, of Falls City, NE formerly of Gladstone, MO passed away Friday September 25, 2015. He was born on September 3, 1922 in Falls City to the late Edwin and Lena (Brecheisen) Oberst. Kenneth graduated from Falls City High School in 1941. He married Anna Jean (Kennedy) Oberst in Fremont, NE on April 22, 1961. Anna Passed away May 27, 2006. Kenneth was an avid fisherman, golfer, he did handcrafting and leather stitching. He loved his dogs, they had through the year. He was Line Patrol Foreman for Williams Pipeline and retired on December 1, 1989 after 37 years of service. Kenneth is survived by 3 sisters Juanita Hanika and Lavern Sherrill of Falls City and Velma Koenig of Lexington, TX; sister-in0-law Wilma Oberst of Falls City;15 nieces and nephews their spouses and many great nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Anna, a sister Mildred (Oberst) Pflaum, 2 brothers, Robert W. and Virgil E. Oberst. Service 2:00pm Friday October 2, 2015 White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone, MO. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
