Larry Dale Harris, 67, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on March 4th, 2016, after a short battle with lung cancer. Larry was born January 17, 1949 in Trail, MO to Troy and Pauline Harris. The family moved to Kansas City in 1954, where Larry was a lifelong resident. Larry began his lengthy career at Corn Products, being heavily involved with the labor union. He later enjoyed driving for Arrow Stage Lines where he was loved and appreciated by those he served. Larry’s passion was family, friends and enjoying the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Christy; two sons, Steve (Shannon) and Jerry (Julie); four grand children, Jordan, Jacob, Samuel and Sarah; brothers, Joe Tom (Gwyneth), Jim (Mary Lee) and sister, Linda (Phil). He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Pauline Harris; and his sister, Mary Lou Smith. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Saint Luke’s Hospice or the American Legion Post 61. Service 11:00am Wednesday White Chapel Funeral Home. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Tuesday night from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
