

He was born June 2, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Elvis and Pearline (Followell) Ground. Lee graduated from Fort Osage High School in Independence, Missouri with the Class of 1985.
Lee married Brandee Thompson on December 17, 1988, in Kansas City, Missouri, this union was blessed with seven children.
Lee was a cement mason with Jacor Contracting for 25 years, he worked previously for Don Rinehart as a bricklayer for many years.
He was a member of the Brotherhood for Children and enjoyed giving back to the kids in the community. Lee was a hard worker and extremely dedicated to his career and even more so, his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis and Pearline Ground; one son, Maxi Kalijah Ground; three brothers-in-law, Jamie Long, James Terry, and James Shields.
Lee is survived by his wife, Brandee Ground, of the home; his children, Lee Elvis Ground Jr. (Jessica Robertson), Eric Dold, Kaitlin Ground (Nathan Clopp), Thomas Thompson-Ground (Dannika), Quinton Ground, Christian Seth Ground, and Emmalee Ground (Billy Hughes); 12 grandchildren, Lezlee, Baylee, River, Lincoln, Harper, Rylee, Cooper, Ben, Carson, Waylon, Hank, and Lux; five siblings, Judy Shields, Lavada Terry, Steve Ground-Coy (Sue), Brenda Waite (Steve), Mary Webb (Bill); and countless extended family members and close friends.
A visitation for Lee will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.
