Lena was born the second daughter of Wade and Fauntine Brittain on June 3, 1929 in Trenton, MO.
She graduated from Trenton High School in 1948 at which time she moved to Avondale, MO living with her brother Eugene Brittain and family. She was employed the same year at Modern Handicraft in North Kansas City, where she worked for years. In 1951 she married James (Eddie) Salisbury. Their daughter Pamela was born in 1954. In 1964 she was employed by Commerce Bank of Kansas City. She worked for 35 years in Deposit Accounting retiring in 1999. She was late to work one time in 35 years.
Lena and Eddie moved to Kansas City North in 1974 where she lived for 36 years. Later they moved to the Islander Apartments in 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Eugene Brittain and sisters Juanita Chick and Peggy Smith. She is survived by her husband Eddie of the home and married 67 years, daughter Pamela (Donald) Treece, 2 grandsons Aaron and Bryan Treece. She also leaves behind Nieces Phyllis (Dale) Reece, Terri (Kevin) Cochran,Linda (Ralph) Alvarez, Charla (Roy) Bradley and nephews Delbert Brittain and Charles (Stella) Smith.
Service 11:00am Sat White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone, MO. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts to American Heart Association.
