Lee was born to Edmund Glaszczak and Agnes Glaszczak on September 27, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas. At the age of six, one year after the passing of his mother, Lee’s father married Frances Glaszczak, raising Lee and his siblings Agnes, Robert, Larry, and Donald. Lee worked at the Forum Cafeteria as a cook for four years, where he met his first wife, Bonnie (Tatom) Lafferty. Lee and Bonnie had three children, Richard, Daniel, and John.
Lee served in the army as a staff sergeant from 1956 to 1958, stationed primarily in Germany, and continued to serve in the Reserves until 1962. Lee worked at TWA for 39 years as a Crew Chief and Lead Stores Clerk. He also served many years as a full-time committeeman for Local 1650 and later served as the Vice President of Air Transport District Lodge 142 of the IAM (International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers). He retired from TWA in 1992.
In 1967, Lee married Carol (Johnson) Glaszczak and resided in Kansas City, Missouri. Lee and Carol were happily married for 51 years, having two children, Greg Glaszczak and Julie (Glaszczak) Garber.
Leroy and Carol became members of Northland Christian Church in 1970. They were loyal servants of God. Lee served as Deacon and Elder for many years and as Treasurer for over 33 years.
Lee enjoyed playing the piano for others. He had a gift of being able to play by ear and played hundreds of songs by memory in his own unique style. He also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with his family and church family.
