

She was born January 23, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Charles L. and Betty J. (Hanley) Edwardson. Linda graduated from North Kansas City High School and attended Trinity Lutheran Nursing School in Kansas City, Missouri, where she earned her Diploma in Nursing. She began her nursing career at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She then spent several years as a homemaker while raising her children, later returning to work at Carondelet Manor in South Kansas City. She also enjoyed working as a home health nurse toward the end of her career.
Linda married Paul Butler on November 1, 1970, in Kansas City, Missouri, and they had four children.
Linda’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She always loved seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a warm smile and a generous, compassionate heart, always willing to help a friend or family member in need. She brought joy to those around her, often sharing favorite memories and stories of special times with loved ones. She had a personal faith in God and enjoyed reading her Bible and praying.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Edwardson; and her grandson, Jordan Holland.
Linda is survived by her husband, Paul Butler; daughter, Laura Keeton and husband Bill of Adamsville, Tennessee; son, Robert Butler and wife Allyson of Ridgeville, South Carolina; daughter, Kara Holland and husband Brett of Blue Springs, Missouri; son, J.M. Butler and wife Abigail of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and her sister, Sharon Pooler and husband Charles of Woodbury, Georgia.
A visitation for Linda will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from Noon to 2:00 PM, with funeral services following at 2:00PM, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119. Interment will follow in the White Chapel Cemetery.
