Lorie was born on April 14, 1964, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John and Joyce Mann. From an early age, she radiated kindness, grace, and a deep love for God. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1982 and later pursued her education at MidAmerica Nazarene College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing in May 1986.
On June 7, 1986, Lorie married the love of her life and spiritual partner, Randy Snowbarger. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in faith, love, and devotion. Lorie began her career in retail by managing Finishing Touches by Joyce, a jewelry store owned by her parents in Antioch Mall. Her entrepreneurial spirit later inspired her to open and manage Tot Togs, a children’s clothing store. She later worked alongside Randy at Graebel Movers as a move coordinator, where she coordinated a move for Chuck Swindoll, a renowned Christian speaker and author.
One of Lorie’s greatest joys was becoming a mother. She and Randy were blessed to adopt two beautiful children, Andrei and Ekaterina, from Russia. Lorie was deeply proud of her "Russian babies" and embraced their heritage with an open heart. She tirelessly encouraged them to honor their roots while guiding them with a steadfast faith. Lorie served as the Regional Chair of the Kansas City chapter of Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption (FRUA), where she supported and inspired other adoptive families with her compassionate leadership.
Lorie was also a devoted daughter, lovingly caring for her mother, Joyce, during her illness in her final years. This selfless act of devotion was yet another reflection of Lorie’s boundless love and dedicated commitment to family.
Lorie’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith, selfless love, and remarkable resilience. She poured her heart into her family, encouraging her children to pursue their dreams while walking with God. Lorie’s warm spirit, constant encouragement, and deep-rooted belief in the Lord left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
An active member of Dundee Hills and New Hope Church of the Nazarene and recently Life Church Northland, Lorie lived her life as a servant of Christ, sharing His love through her actions, words, and generous spirit. Her devotion to God and others was evident in everything she did, and her legacy of faith continues to inspire those she leaves behind.
Lorie is preceded in death by her parents, John W. Mann Jr. and Joyce A. Mann. She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Randell Snowbarger; her precious children, Andrei and Ekaterina; her siblings, John Mann III and Shana Anderson; and many extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Lorie’s memory through donations to the American Heart Association, reflecting her fight against heart disease and her desire to help others.
