Margaret Ann Dale (Mourning), aged 86, well done, good and faithful servant, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 3, 2025. She was born and raised in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Washington High School. She spent her life in the legal field, holding several positions as a legal assistant. After her first retirement, she stayed busier than ever. She found time to hold jobs at several places, while embracing her true calling as Grandma, Grandma Great, and passionate volunteer. She adored her grandchildren. The stories of her exploits are legendary.
Margaret held volunteer positions at too many places to name but had special fondness for the Bishop Sullivan Center and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was involved in many ministries at the church, her favorite being Hospitality. She was never a stranger, and her open, warm, positive attitude made the day of everyone she met a little brighter.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma (Williams) Mourning; her sisters Cora Jean (Bradshaw), Susan (Richards), and Mary (Aamold); and her beloved daughter-in-law, Jenny. Margaret is survived by her sister Betty (the late Roy) Snitker; her sons Gregg (the late Jenny) Hosch and Michael (Christine) Dale; her grandchildren, Sara (Brett Eaves), Kelly (Joe Lovas), Bennett (Mary) Hosch, Carl Carter, Allison Chase, and Tucker Dale; and six great-grandchildren. Her love and friendship will be deeply missed by all.
A visitation will be held on December 9, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, located at 900 NE Shady Ln Dr, Kansas City, MO 64118. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am, followed by a reception at 12:30 pm.
