

Born on February 26, 1939, in Kansas City, Marie was the youngest daughter of Fred and Josephine (Ciarlelli) Reale. She was united in marriage to Bob DuRall on December 5, 1962, in Kansas City. Bob preceded her in death on July 22, 1989.
Marie was a graduate of Northeast High School, Class of 1957. In her early years, she dedicated herself to raising her two sons, Bob and Craig, while being actively involved in their schools through the PTA and volunteering in the community. After the passing of her husband, Marie returned to work, building a successful career in banking. She worked in commercial loans and retired from Bank of America in 2008 after many years of service.
Known for her warmth, creativity, and deep love for her family, Marie had a special talent for baking. She delighted in creating beautiful cakes and cookies, often personalized for birthdays and celebrations. Her children and grandchildren fondly remember the custom cakes themed to their interests, as well as her perfectly arranged and beautifully packaged cookie trays.
Marie was also passionate about ceramics, enjoying the hobby for many years. Her home was a reflection of her love for the holidays, as she eagerly transformed her space into a winter wonderland, filled with her handmade ceramics, Christmas villages, and seasonal decorations.
An avid sports fan, Marie's loyalty to the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals was unwavering. She was often found attending games or watching them on TV, always planning meals around game time and enjoying the company of family and friends during these occasions.
Marie is survived by her sons, Bob DuRall of Independence, Mo., and Craig DuRall (Sarah) of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren,Trenton DuRall (Skylar), Carson DuRall, Kayden DuRall, and Morgan DuRall; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; daughter, Dawn Marie DuRall; stepdaughter, Renee DuRall; stepson, Tony DuRall; brothers, Joe Reale and Pat Reale; and sister, Geraldine Shepherd.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and the staff at North Kansas Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Marie during her final days.
