Mario John Montoya

Mario was born on June 22, 1978 in Kansas City, MO to John and Evelyn Montoya. He attended Oak Park High School where he played football. He worked restaurant management positions throughout his life until landing at BNSF Railroad and AmerisourceBergen. He married Regina and welcomed two daughters, Alexis and Kierra. He was a sports fanatic who loved talking about the latest game or player. He loved to run and had accomplished several local races. He always bragged about beating his own time stating, “Not bad for an old man!” He was generous, comical, hard working, a family man and most of all a great friend to all.

Mario is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

Mario is survived by his parents, John and Evelyn Montoya; his wife, Regina Montoya; his children Alexis and Kierra Montoya; his sister, Cindy Rios (James); nephew, David Montoya; nieces, Sierra and Gabriella Rios and many extended family members whom loved him.

If sending flowers, the family requests the color "red" as that was Mario’s favorite color.
