Max Ragan Minnick of Kansas City, Missouri passed away December 18, 2015. Visitation and memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 beginning at 10:00 am at D.W. Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 N. Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri. He was born on May 7, 1936 in Lock Springs, Mo. and graduated from Jamesport High School in 1954. Max served in the US Air Force and was employed as a train engineer for multiple railroads, including Rock Island Lines and Southern Pacific Railroads where he worked until his retirement. Max enjoyed many activities throughout his retirement years, especially golf, watching sports and cheering on the Royals, card games, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ercel Minnick, and brothers, William (Bill) and Jerry. Survivors include bother, Bob Minnick of Columbia, Mo., sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and James Pickett of Holt, Mo., five nieces and a nephew, and fifteen great-nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Transitional Housing.
