Maxine Max Beulah Thayer Burdick

Maxine B. Burdick, 75, of Lawson, MO, passed away February 27, 2015. A Celebration of Life will be 11am Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Evangelistic Center Church, 1024 Truman Rd, Kansas City, MO 64106, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at 2:30 pm at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; 1 brother and her husband, William R. Burdick. Survivors include her 3 children, Bobbi Connell and husband John, of Rayville, MO, Bryon Hawkins, of Kansas City, MO and Kathleen Wade of Platte Woods, MO; two Step-Children, Lee and Jerry Burdick; brother in-law, Patrick Lane; 7 grandchildren Sarah Grosko, Larry Ryan, Matthew Hawkins, Mark Wade, Nathaniel Hawkins, Janine Hawkins and Patrick Hawkins and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jordeah Grosko, and Sophia Silega.

Maxine Burdick, our mama; Maxine has fought the good fight, she finished the race, and she kept her faith steadfast in Jesus, who is the author and finisher of her faith. She was an example of strength during hard times, an example we will not forget. Nor will we forget her beautiful smile, or her heart felt “I love yous”, meant to assure you of her love. We have the Blessed Assurance that she is now in Heaven with Jesus and all her love ones who made the journey ahead of her. No more tears, no more sorrow, no more pain. Thank you mama for all the precious memories we will have to draw upon as we will miss you terribly. You shall not return to us, but we shall come to you someday. Love you Always.
