

Born in Kansas City, MO, Michael was the son of Andrew E. and Mary Rose Skinner. He graduated from St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School, attended St. Pius, and was a 1968 graduate of Oak Park High School. Michael proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft mechanic before embarking on a career with TWA, from which he retired after many years with American Airlines. He was a dedicated member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Academy, and the Knights of Columbus.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Rose, and his siblings, Joseph Skinner, James Skinner, and Linda Skinner.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Skinner of Dearborn, MI; his daughter, Tiffany (Nathan) Evans of Lehi, UT; and his cherished grandchildren, Jackson, Samuel, and Elleanor Evans. Michael also leaves behind his brother, Don (Becky) Skinner of Phoenix, AZ; his sister, Andrea (Nick) DiRaimo of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Carol Skinner of Lenexa, KS; and a loving extended family of cousins, nephews, nieces, and close friends.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, on Friday, June 20, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Ln, Kansas City, MO. A reception will follow the Mass. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at 1:00 PM with full military honors.
