Patty DiMaggio

Patricia Jo DiMaggio (“Patty”), 80, passed away on January 10, 2026, with her family by her side. Patty was born on September 26, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Ruskin High School in 1963.

In 1970, she met the love of her life, Sammy DiMaggio, and they spent more than 57 wonderful years together.

Patty was a beautiful woman with a love for elegant clothing, manicured nails, and fine perfume, and she never left the house without looking her best. She held a variety of office positions throughout her career, primarily in the insurance field, until her retirement. However, the roles she cherished most and was most proud of were being a mother and grandmother.

Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Kay McGivern. She is survived by her husband, Sam; her son, Hugh O. Oldham IV, and his wife, Shauna; her grandchildren, Aidan and Dax; her sisters, Glenda and Barbra; her cousin, Linda; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Critical Care Unit on the 9th floor at North Kansas City Hospital for their care and compassion.

A visitation will be held on January 21, 2026, at 12:00 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, located at 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO, 64119. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm.
