He was born in Boston, MA and raised in Wakefield, MA. After graduating from Wakefield High School he served in the U.S. Air Force, began his career in aviation and later retired from TWA after 35 years as an A&P Mechanic. He enjoyed traveling with his family and playing the saxophone.
Paul leaves his wife of 50 years, Shilah, Kansas City North; a son Bret, daughter-in-law Kelly, Overland Park, KS; a sister Elinor Butler, Potomac, MD, a brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and a brother-in-law.
Services to celebrate Paul’s life will be on September 12, with a visitation at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 4947 NE Chouteau Dr., Kansas City, MO 64119, where Paul was a member 50 years. Inurnment, with military honors, will follow at 3:00 pm at the Spickard Masonic Cemetery, Spickard, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd or the JDRF, 215 W. Pershing Rd. #300, Kansas City, MO 64108 requesting contributions to the research fund to help find a cure for Type I Diabetes.
