Ralph L. Wheeler, 83, of Kansas City passed away December 13, 2015. Ralph served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and retired from the National Weather Service. He loved to play golf and watch the St. Louis Cardinals. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, and 2 grandchildren. Ralph is survived by his wife Vera, his children Geri Marak, Ralph (Mary) Wheeler Jr., Paula (Perry) Newman, Julie (Dan) Heath, Kathy (Bob) Gorman, Mark Wheeler, Stephanie (John) Patton, John Wheeler and Joan (Joe) Baer, his step children Raymond Nagiewicz, and Paul Nagiewicz, 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and sisters Ellen Kuntzi and Margaret Fleischli and one brother Joe O’Beirne. A service with military honors will be held at 12:00 pm December 22, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home with visitation starting at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial donations be made to NorthCare Hospice.
