Robert A. Holley

Robert Arthur Holley, 73, of Kansas City, MO passed away at his home on March 30, 2016. Robert was born on October 29, 1942 in Independence, MO to Marian and Austin Holley who preceded him in death. On January 19, 1968, he married Jean Lewis. Robert attended William Jewell College and worked as an accounting manager for Alton Box Board Company for 15 years. He later started his own packaging and distribution company. Robert loved the Lord and was committed to his faith. He was an accomplished pianist. Robert learned carpentry from his father, and passed those skills along to his grandchildren. He obtained great joy from telling jokes and making people smile. Robert never met a stranger. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his loving wife Jean and his two daughters Hope Williams, Heather Mathewson and husband Kevin; 5 grandchildren: Ryan, Morgan, Luke, Kennedy, and Kelsey. A memorial service will be held on Friday April 8, 2016 at 1 PM. The service will be held at Northland Cathedral, 101 NW 99th Street, Kansas City, MO 64155. Guests should park in the northwest corner of the parking lot to access the main sanctuary.
