Roberta was born in North Kansas City, MO to Estel and Louise Hufford who preceded her in death along with her husband of 59 years, Ronald McCleery, her sister Mary Louise Baltzell, her twin sister Alberta Martin, and daughter Robyn Simpson.
Roberta was a graduate of North Kansas City High School and was an employee for many years at Maple Park Middle School in the North Kansas City School District. She was an avid gardener, quilted and crocheted for many years, had been active in Girl Scouts and 4-H, and enjoyed camping and fishing with all the family and traveling with friends.
She is survived by her son, Roy McCleery of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Rosemary Turner of Sugar Creek, MO; sister, Betty Jean Kauffman; grandchildren, Justin, Christal, Luke, and Carly; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 12 pm. Roberta will be buried in White Chapel Cemetery.
