
Sam, 64, of Liberty, MO passed away on June 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Sam was born on November 19, 1950 in Maryville, MO to Samuel and Mary Nash. Sam joined and served proudly in the US Army for 8 years before starting his 28 year career with the US Postal Service where he met the love of his life, Therese. They were married on October 4, 1980, setting the foundation for the amazing family they have today. Since retirement in 2006 he enjoyed the “simple life” through his passion for motorcycles, mowing yards with his sons, and being able to spend time with his sons and grandchildren. Sam was a very selfless, giving person and always said and led by example “anything for family”. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Norman and Stanley; and his daughter, Kelly. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Therese; children, Christina, Matthew, Joey (Maribeth), Tyler, and Alex (Makayla); sisters, Marilyn (Ronald) Schmitz, Carolyn (Paul) Bethel, and Karen Sue Cooper; grandchildren, Michelle, Megan, Sammie, Timothy, and Stetsen; and a very large, loving family. Services are set for 2 PM, Monday, June 15, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, June 14 from 6-8 PM; with a Rosary being said at 6 PM at the funeral home.
